What is the first step?
- I’m looking to buy a home in the area or sell our home after improvements – who would you recommend?

- How long will the restoration take?
- The answer depends on how extensive the project is. Major historic restorations can take a year or more while minor home improvements can usually be done in a few hours. Our dedicated team will provide you with a time estimate for each project.

- For more minor projects a budget is usually not necessary?
- For more extensive improvements, remodels, restorations or additions it is a good idea to have a maximum amount in mind. This number will guide our project planning.

- Who do you recommend for home or business cleaning?

- Can I work with you and save money?
- Yes – if you choose our Time & Materials option we welcome your efforts and help.

- What are the payment options?
- Time & Materials – you will be billed our hourly rate per worker per hour worked, as well as materials plus 15%. We provide a “not to exceed estimate” for the job and require starter funds of 1/3 of the project cost before materials are ordered or the project is started. Other billing will come approximately every two weeks.
This is the option that over 80% of our clients choose. It is the best way to pay for only the work that is done, which is fair to the client and contractor and often saves clients money compared to “by the job” billing.
By the Job – we provide you with an estimate for the job that takes into account all conceivable variables. This is relatively easy for minor improvements but near impossible for restorations. If accepted we would require 1/3 of the total on acceptance, 1/3 of the total before materials are ordered or the project is started, and the remaining 1/3 on completion.

- Should I manage the project myself?
- Unless you have project management skills, a background in home improvement and established relationships with local contractors and suppliers, it’s better left to the professionals.

- Do I need to have budget in mind?
- For more minor projects a budget is usually not necessary. For more extensive improvements, remodels, restorations or additions it is a good idea to have a maximum amount in mind. This number will guide our project planning.
